The Jean Monnet Module Summer School on Climate Migration, Climate Justice and Human Rights was concluded, bringing together students and professionals from different academic programmes and professional fields.
The Summer School attracted participants from different study programs and sectors, many of whom had not previously been exposed to topics related to climate migration, climate justice, European Union policies, and the human rights implications of climate change. The programme provided an opportunity for participants to develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between environmental change, migration, social justice, and policymaking.
Throughout the Summer School, participants engaged in interactive lectures, discussions and group activities led by academics and experts in the field. The sessions explored concepts and policy frameworks related to climate change, climate-induced displacement, disaster risk management, human rights protection, and the role of the European Union in addressing emerging climate challenges.
The completion of the second Summer School is an important milestone for the Jean Monnet Module, reinforcing its commitment to promoting knowledge, and informed discussion on European Union policies, climate justice, human rights, and climate migration.
We thank all participants, lecturers, and contributors whose commitment made the Summer School a rewarding and impactful experience.
