The primary goal of the project is to elevate and enrich the literacy of students on policies concerning climate justice, human rights, and climate migration. For this purpose, the project will develop three Jean Monnet Modules, recognizing the vital role of education in enhancing citizens’ understanding of the European Union. The proposal intends to integrate an EU perspective into curricula traditionally outside the field of EU studies, along with introducing a specialized module in EU migrations studies about climate, climate justice, human rights, and disaster risk management.
The specific objectives of the project include:
- Foster the introduction of a European Union angle into mainly non-EU related studies
- Promote teaching excellence and innovative teaching among students and staff
- Foster interaction between students, staff and policy makers
- Promote research in European Union issues
- Enhance the publication and dissemination of the results of academic activities
- Improve the vocabulary and literacy of students on EU related issues
