🎓 Celebrating Knowledge, Collaboration, and Climate Action
In a vibrant celebration of academic achievement and European collaboration, the Jean Monnet Module “PRO-FACTS – Promoting Knowledge on EU Policy in Fiscal Administration, Climate, and Energy”, hosted by the University of Tirana, officially concluded for the third consecutive year its flagship Short Intensive Course on the Climate and Green Finance Agenda in the EU.
The certification ceremony held on June 10, 2025, brought together a diverse group of participants, including students, faculty members, guest lecturers, and institutional partners, in a shared commitment to advancing knowledge on Europe’s evolving climate and energy transition policies.
📘 About the Course
The short intensive course was designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the EU’s climate objectives, the Green Deal, and financial mechanisms supporting the green transition. Through a multidisciplinary curriculum, participants explored topics such as:
- EU climate governance and policy frameworks
- Sustainable finance instruments and ESG integration
- Energy market reforms and renewable energy strategies
- The economic impact of decarbonization in EU member and candidate states
The course combined interactive lectures, case studies, and guest talks from experts in government and academia, creating a dynamic learning environment that bridged theory and practice.

The certification ceremony recognized the dedication and success of all participating students. Certificates were awarded in the presence of academic coordinators, guest speakers, and project leaders, with special acknowledgment for the enthusiasm and critical thinking demonstrated by the cohort.

Speaking at the event, the project team expressed pride in how the course inspired meaningful dialogue around EU climate priorities and their relevance to Albania and the wider Western Balkan region.
The PRO-FACTS Module also hosted a series of open lectures and policy roundtables over its three-year span, contributing directly to Albania’s academic and policy discourse on energy, finance, and sustainability.
