The module leader Elona Pojani took part in the International Engineering Conference held in Bečići, Montenegro organized by the University of Novi Sad – Faculty of Technical Sciences, Department of Civil Engineering and Geodesy (Republic of Serbia), the Higher Education Technical School of Professional Studies in Novi Sad (Republic of Serbia), and the Technical University of Zvolen – Faculty of Wood Sciences and Technology, Department of Fire Protection (Republic of Slovakia). Research on climate change and human capital in Albania was presented. The paper titled “Climate Change and Human Capital Impact – The Case of Albania” delivered by Prof. Asoc. Dr. Elona Pojani highlighted both the challenges and opportunities that climate change brings to education systems.
A key part of the discussion focused on the Pro-facts Project “Promoting knowledge on EU policy in fiscal administration, climate, and energy topics”, which was presented as an important national initiative contributing to capacity building in the field of climate action and sustainable development within academia. Profact’s innovative activities, including curriculum development, open lectures, and awareness-raising initiatives, demonstrate how targeted educational interventions can better prepare future professionals to manage climate risks and accelerate Albania’s green transition.
