The academic and non-academic team of the module “Climate and Green Finance Agenda in EU” provided in-depth knowledge on the impact of climate change and energy-related mitigation policies on EU financial markets. Participants explored various subjects, including sustainable development, the EU integration agenda on climate change, climate finance, “green” climate financial instruments, and the risks and opportunities posed by climate change in financial markets. They also studied sustainable financing in both the EU and developing countries.
The 13-week course aimed to empower students with expertise in climate change, energy markets, and green finance. Through a combination of lectures, seminars, and EU case studies, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities surrounding sustainable development and financial solutions in the EU.
The certification ceremony, held at the Faculty of Economics, was attended by professors of the module and the students who completed the course. The Intensive Specialized Course fostered collaborative networks among students, professors, and guest lecturers, creating a community dedicated to driving sustainability in Albania. As a candidate country smoothly implementing its EU integration obligations, Albania will benefit from these newly certified individuals who will contribute to a robust ecosystem supporting sustainable development.
