On the International Museum Day on May 18th, the Museum of the Bank of Albania welcomed approximately 600 visitors for a day filled with educational activities and exploration. Opening its doors from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the museum provided the public with the opportunity to search into its permanent and extensive numismatic collection, dedicated to the rich history of banking and finance.
One of the highlights of the day was an engaging open lecture held in the Conference Hall of the Bank of Albania from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elona Pojani, the module leader “Climate Change Adaptation”, a lecturer at Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana, delivered a presentation on “Education for Sustainable Development.” Attendees had the chance to explore the intersection of education and sustainable practices, gaining awareness into fostering a sustainable future.
The event not only attracted museum enthusiasts but also provided a platform for the academic staff of the project “Promoting Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation in the Framework of EU Integration”. They took the opportunity to promote their project and foster collaboration with the National Bank of Albania. This interaction aimed at enhancing awareness and understanding of the project’s goals, emphasizing the importance of disaster risk management and climate change adaptation within the context of EU integration.
