The DREUCC Project Team at the University of Tirana provided one Open Lecture on the 31st of May 2021 in the field of Risk Assessment to the students of bachelor’s degree in finance, students of Master of Science in Risk Management, Master of Science in Finance and Master of Professional in Finance. The theme of the open lecture course was aligned with the objective of the Jean Monnet Module “Disaster Risk Management in the Framework of EU Integration” and was delivered by prominent expert in the field of Disaster Risk Management from GIZ Albania Mr. Eduart Cani. The open lecture in the framework of Erasmus + Jean Monnet Module aimed to address important topics related to flooding risk assessment and disaster risk modeling in EU and Albania. The lecturer presented to the students the standards of the EU Floods Directive (“European Directive 2007/60/EC on the assessment and management of flood risks”) by giving illustrations on the Flood Risk Assessment for the Drin/Drim – Buna/Bojana River Basin. The lecturer described the major steps regarding flood risk management with a main focus on flood hazard and flood risk mapping.
