The first Jean Monnet Module “Climate Change Adaptation” within the project “Promoting CCA and DRM in the framework of EU Integration” was completed successfully after 15 intensive weeks. The module offers students extensive knowledge in the field of Climate Change Adaptation, including important topics, such as: Human Face of Climate Change, Climate Change Economics, Climate Change Finance, Climate Negotiations, International Agreements for Climate, International Climate Change Policy, Climate policy in Developing Countries, and Climate Policy within the EU.
Students were actively engaged in the achievement of the module goals, through class projects and homework. Though group projects, they produced five documentaries about different aspects of climate change. In addition, they developed an analysis of climate policy in different parts of the world.
The module gained very good feedback. Students delivered testimonials of their experience during the module, which were shared during the last meeting. Through the feedback of students we were able to perceive their motivation in attending the class, and their ultimate understanding of the content of the module.
In the light of the 2021 Earth Day, the successful completion of the Module “Climate Change Adaptation”, represents a valuable contribution in the development of important knowledge for this generation of students, who will become decision-makers in the future.
